I have always been an adventure-seeker, always wanting to try something new. So much so that my motto in life is ‘Bring it on!!’.
But life changes after you have a baby. This was the first time after my caesarean birth that I tried to do something adventurous, and man, I must tell you, it was one heck of an experience.
It was a regular weekend, apart from the fact that I was very much determined to go to Busch Gardens this time and take some rides along with some other friends. So, as punctual as my husband is about time, we reached there and by the time we were waiting for others to join, he tried to convince me about taking my first ride.
As mush as I was having inhibitions about taking a ride after my c-section, he asked me to go for Falcon Fury. You must be thinking what is so special about that. But don’t worry, I will tell you that as well!
What is so special about Falcon Fury?
Falcon’s Fury® is the tallest freestanding drop tower in North America, standing at 335 feet.
What is more interesting about this ride is that when we were taken to the highest point, which is 335ft above the ground, the ride takes a 90 degree mid-air turn.
This was the moment when I actually froze. I was hanging so high up in the sky with a lump in my throat, I could see most of the city and I was scared thinking what if the harness opened, what if I come crushing to the ground. I definitely wouldn’t survive. Just when I was praying to all the Gods that I know of, it was just then that the free fall began. My brain stopped all the thinking process, I felt that there is only one feeling in this world that prevails above all, the feeling of fear, I was having a free fall at an enormous speed. Let me tell you the truth, as much as I was following my ‘Bring it on’, I was scared to death. Keep it a secret. Shhh… I am very brave.
The drop was scary but after that, it felt like a big achievement. Yes, I did it. I survived the free fall. I just rode the tallest drop tower in the whole North America. Yay!!
Below is a video of my experience:
Wasn’t it scary? Do you want to do it too?
